Flores de caléndula
Three flowers, three uses
Flor de jamaica is the deep red calyx that turns water into agua de jamaica, the drink of every taquería cooler. Calendula is a small orange flower, sold here whole and dried. Passionflower comes as the whole herb, flower and leaf together, in a small bag of 0.75 oz or a 3.5 oz bag.
The three are made three ways. The calendula bag asks for a simmer of 15 to 20 minutes and a rest off the heat, passionflower steeps eight minutes off the boil by its product description, and jamaica is steeped and sweetened for agua fresca. If you want jamaica for a pitcher of agua fresca, start with the agua de jamaica guide, which works from the whole flower and gives a home ratio for a two-quart pitcher.

YERBERO dried flowers: questions
What people ask about hibiscus, calendula and passionflower.
Can you make agua de jamaica with YERBERO hibiscus?
Yes, that is what the whole dried flowers are sold for, hot or cold. The agua de jamaica guide gives a home ratio for a pitcher.
Is YERBERO calendula the same as the marigold in your garden?
Calendula officinalis is often called pot marigold, but it is a different plant from the Tagetes marigolds sold as bedding plants. Our bag sells the dried flowers of Calendula officinalis.
Should you avoid YERBERO passionflower during pregnancy?
Yes. The NIH says passionflower should not be used during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, nursing or take any medicine, ask your doctor before you drink any herbal tea regularly.
