Off the heat, eight minutes
Pasiflora, the passionflower, Passiflora incarnata as the bag names it, comes as the whole dried herb, wildcrafted, in two sizes: 0.75 oz with 20 or more servings, and 3.5 oz. The bag shows no method we can read, and the product description gives this one. Bring water to a boil, turn the heat off, add the herb and leave it eight minutes before you strain it.
In that order the herb never boils: it steeps in water that has just left the flame. A timer is the only tool the method needs besides a pot and a strainer. The larger size holds nearly five times the herb, and it makes sense once the eight-minute pot is a habit in your kitchen.
In the YERBERO range, Pasiflora is filed under P in the herbolario A–Z, next to Pata de vaca.
